In honor of Valentine's Day, the DR trip held a waffle sale. Throughout the day, participants going on the trip tried their luck with a waffle maker to bring waffle goodness to the students at MB. Most were successful at their waffle endeavors, others... well at least they were made with love. I had the chance to see the waffle skills of Jess, Abby, Sarah, Kayla and Prema, and we learned that the shake and pour mixes make life much easier, and that it's important to spray nonstick spray on both sides of the waffle maker. I unfortunately missed the skills of some of the guys going on the trip, but apparenlty that was something to see. Overall, the waffles were a success, as well as the bake sale held at the same time, and the DR trip made $257.00. Turns out all you need isn't love on Valentine's Day, but waffles.
